Project start 2019
The development of the first prototype was based on an ArcticCat Wildcat 1000
- Design the powertrain to be as compact and powerful as possible
- Achieve a range of over 200km
- To be suitable for series production through the use of high-volume components
- A ready-to-use test vehicle / demonstrator
- Achieve road approval
- Visiting trade fairs and events (Driving Experience)
- Market analysis and verification of marketability
- Gaining experience in the area of UTV / SxS
- Conceptgeneration for the series vehicle
Mandrill in Aktion
The base vehicle
An Arcticcat Wildcat 1000
One of the best selling UTV / SxS vehicles in the mid-price segment.
Conversion
The base vehicle was completely disassembled and recorded as a 3D model in CAD.
Chassis, frame, suspensions, electrical system and much more had to be redesigned for the electric drive.
The new drive
A very compact unit consisting of a Bosch SMG 180 synchronous motor and a special single-stage low-maintenance GKN E-drive spur gear.
